Hycienth Haruna, also known as HighSaint Drillz, has resigned as Vice President of the Taraba State Entertainment Industry (TSEI), citing deep disappointment and frustration with the leadership.
According to his resignation letter, Drillz encountered a dysfunctional leadership structure characterized by incompetence, lack of transparency, and absence of accountability and strategic vision. He specifically highlighted financial mismanagement, including the President receiving funds meant for the industry into his personal account without informing the executive body.
Drillz also expressed concerns about the lack of leadership and direction from the President (Bebb Ubeh) which led to the industry becoming inactive and irrelevant. Despite his efforts to spearhead the Taraba Entertainment Awards (TEA) 2024, he faced resistance and lack of support from the executive leadership.
His resignation serves as a wake-up call for the entertainment industry, emphasizing the need for leadership built on accountability, vision, and progress.
